This is my story

As a child, I was extremely active and I tried many sports. I went to gymnastics for almost two years and I, but it was frustrating not to be able to do all the tricks I wanted to do. It was when I, as an 8-year-old, tried parkour that I became FULLY stuck!

At first, it was my dad, who was a P.E. teacher, who helped med with my first flips, but since then I have always been ”my own coach”. For several years I jumped a lot on our garden trampoline. which developed my flip and twist technique enormously. My dad also built a parkour park in our garden where I have trained a lot.

Parkour is a sport that suits me perfectly. There are always new tricks to learn and new movements to explore. The community in the sport is fantastic and the best time for me is when I am with friends and we train together and challenge each other to new levels.

My interest in parkour really took off when I was 11-12 years old. During Air Wipp SummerCamp 2016 I met new friends from all over Sweden who also loved parkour and after that I started to go and meet them to train together. We have met regularly at jams and competitions since then.

In 2018, xFlow, a training facility focusing partly on parkour, opened in Jönköping. Since xFlow opened, it’s been a ”second home”of mine. I train there pretty much every day during the winter and during rainy days in the summer. In addition to my own practise, I am also a coach at xFlow. I am passionate about helping children develop and grow through the sport of parkour!

Ever since we first met in 2016, Elis has been the first person on the spot and the last one to leave. He has always run his tricks over and over again until they are perfectly executed. He has a sick will and a drive to develop. I think that is one of the biggest reasons why he is now in the elite of the parkour world and why he has become the first in the world with several tricks. Elis always wants to help others develop, no matter how difficult a trick is for someone. He is a very empathetic and positive person.”
